Jolly nice of David Tennant's fans to raise more than £5,000 for a seat to be named after him at the new Royal Shakespeare Theatre, in Stratford-upon-Avon. Well, new in the sense that it has been rebuilt for £112m. It has a "soft opening" in late November, and then King Lear takes to its stage early next year.
