S cott Walker, lead singer of the unrelated Walker Brothers, was a pop superstar in the 1960s, with No 1 hits such as Make It Easy on Yourself and The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine (Anymore). So it might seem surprising that his next gig is at Covent Garden — not singing or playing his guitar, but with his newly composed music for a dance adaptation of Cocteau’s play Duet for One for ROH2, the Royal Opera House’s experimental programme.
