Be bold, Mr David Cameron

The most surprising result of today's Sunday Telegraph poll is that Gordon Brown and Labour still retain a significant lead over David Cameron and the Conservatives on the matter of economic competence. In spite of the financial crisis at Northern Rock, the vacillation over capital gains tax, and the enormous level of indebtedness in the economy as a whole, the public still believes that a Labour government will make better economic decisions than a Tory one.
