Sculptor brings Syrian conflict into WWI work for St Paul's

A SCULPTOR commissioned by St Paul’s Cathedral to create an artwork to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War has admitted some may find “distasteful” his decision to portray towns destroyed by the recent conflicts in Syria and Afghanistan.
