An American mountaineer who found the body of George Mallory on Mount Everest plans to recreate the Briton’s expedition by climbing the mountain using 1920s equipment. Conrad Anker and Leo Houlding, his British climbing mate, will start retracing Mallory’s route up the Chinese side of Everest next week, according to Ang Tshering Sherpa, president of the Nepal Mountaineering Association.
