It's that time of year when familiar old programmes flutter back, like flocks of geese over the North Sea. In Our Time (BBC Radio 4, Thursday) is back before I've even finished going through the podcasts from the last season, which I resent. More cheerfully, after warming up with a couple of rounds of Brain of Brains, Robert Robinson has now returned properly to Brain of Britain (Radio 4, Monday), and what a relief and a joy it is to have him.
